Kids Day

So, Joel was looking at the calendar and getting upset today. He complained that there's a Mother's Day and a Father's Day, but no Kid's Day. "It's not fair." And then came the tears.
And my response?
"Every day is Kid's Day. Mothers and Fathers have a special day because kids don't thank their mothers and fathers every day for their hard work."
But neither do I thank the kids every day for their hard work. This has gotten me to thinking. I'm too tired, though, to think for long.

My kids have asked when "Kid's Day" is too. I tell them on Mother's and Father's day it is the kids turns to take care of the Mom's and Dad's--every day is Kid's day because Mom's and Dad's take care of kids every. single. day. They seemed satisfied...

I miss you! It was really hot here a few days ago and I was nursing Adell--nothing like nursing in the heat (ugh!). The heat reminded me of hanging out in your bedroom in the Chelsea apartment. You were the only one with AC--a window unit in your bedroom. Good times!
